Cookies & browser storage
Published 2026-10-16 · Phase
This notice covers storage used by the application and optional external tools.
Essential storage
Phase uses secure, HTTP-only session cookies with the trace prefix, plus short-lived security cookies for authentication. Sessions last up to seven days and can be ended by signing out. Google may use its own cookies when you choose Google sign-in. Phase stores a privacy-choice record under trace:privacy:v1 in local storage, containing a version, external-tool preference, and timestamp; it expires after 180 days. These choices can be changed or cleared at any time. If browser storage is blocked, the choice lasts only for the current page.
Carts are stored with your account in the database, not in a tracking cookie. The local Gerber viewer holds your opened project in page memory. Closing or refreshing the page clears that local project.
Optional tools
No analytics or advertising scripts are configured in the application. Supplier-hosted images and Ucamco’s embedded reference viewer load only after you allow external tools. Images hosted directly by Phase remain available without optional permission. Once loaded, it can use its own storage and receives connection information. Your local project is not sent to it automatically; any upload inside that viewer is an interaction with Ucamco.
Changing a choice
Use Privacy choices in the footer to allow or block external tools. Essential only and Allow external tools are presented equally. Global Privacy Control blocks optional tools. Withdrawing permission unmounts the viewer; it cannot erase cookies or data already held by a third party. Use your browser settings or the provider’s privacy process for those records. The application stores your current preference locally, not a server-side consent history.
